Privacy Policy (kntd:create)
This privacy policy governs your use of the software application kntd:create ("the App") for mobile devices that was created by Samuel Harrison ("the Developer"). If you have any questions about this policy please contact the Developer at [email protected].
What information does the App obtain and how is it used?
Information you provide
The App does not provide an option to create an account. The Developer does not store nor have access to any data you enter in the App. Your data is stored only locally on your device. You can optionally sync your data using Apple iCloud (iOS). Your synchronised data is stored in your private iCloud space and the Developer does not have access to your synchronised data.
The Developer may obtain your email address when you request support or provide feedback via email. Your email is used only to contact you to provide support, feedback or important information, and is retained only for as long as necessary to resolve your request.
Legal basis for processing (UK & EU users)
The Developer processes personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
Legitimate interests — Analytics and crash reporting data is collected to maintain and improve the App. This data is anonymized and aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Contract performance — Your data is stored locally on your device and optionally in your private iCloud space solely to provide the core functionality of the App.
Data Sync
iOS iCloud Sync
iOS users can optionally sync their data using Apple iCloud Sync. Any data synchronised using Apple iCloud Sync is stored in your private iCloud Drive space and counts against your quota. iCloud secures your information by encrypting it when it's in transit, storing it in iCloud in an encrypted format, and using secure tokens for authentication. For certain sensitive information, Apple uses end-to-end encryption. This means that only you can access your information, and only on devices where you're signed into iCloud. No one else, not even Apple, can access end-to-end encrypted information. You can find out more about iCloud security and privacy at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202303.
Analytics
The App collects usage data that is essential for delivering the service, understanding your needs, and improving the App. This includes app launches, taps, clicks, scrolling information, in-app purchases, screen visits, session durations, or other information about how you use the app. This data is anonymized and aggregated from all users. The App also collects crashes and performance reports to help improve the stability and performance of the app.
The App does NOT collect any user-generated content, such as project names, project start dates, or anything you type within the app.
Photos
You can optionally attach a photo to your project. Your photos are stored locally on your device. If you choose to turn on iCloud Sync, your photos are transferred to your private iCloud storage and count against your storage quota. The Developer has no access to your photos.
Security
The Developer takes reasonable measures to protect your data. All communication between the App and any third-party services is made over HTTPS. The Developer does not operate any servers that store your personal data — all app data remains on your device or in your private iCloud space.
Data Retention
The Developer does not store your personal data on any server. The only personal data retained by the Developer is your email address when you contact the Developer for support or feedback. This is kept only for as long as necessary to resolve your request and is then deleted.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact the Developer at [email protected] and the information will be deleted.
